Bringing nature into our gardens can be a divisive topic but it’s more important than ever that we take the steps to do so. Jonathan aspires to create gardens which have beauty, wellbeing and nature at their heart in the hope that immersing ourselves in our own wild spaces connects us to the earth. Using organic and sustainable principles we blend captivating spaces with ecological recovery connecting our garden to the wider landscape.
Our design process is always bespoke, creating balance between the stewardship the land needs and the vision of our clients. Our naturalistic style combines materials that are sympathetic to the surroundings and environmentally sustainable.
The garden is brought to life by the planting, using native and non-native plant species we create striking and dramatic planting schemes which are abundant with wildlife. Diverse habitat creation becomes a key feature here and we achieve this with good organic soil management, the use of wildflower meadows, insect friendly planting and the creation of nesting/ hibernation sites such as log piles.
Our small design practice works both independently with clients and in collaboration with other garden designers where the environment is a stakeholder within the project. Based in the countryside of East Anglia we have experience of smaller town gardens alongside larger country houses and estates.
Our design service begins with an on-site consultation with Jonathan, this enables everyone to meet, look at the space and discuss what you are hoping to achieve.
